GALLERY NOTES:

This artist always signs her work simply “Elyse”. She was born in 1940 in Brooklyn, NY, began painting in oil as a child and later developed a passion for watercolour on paper, which became her medium of choice. She began her art education at age eight at the Brooklyn Art Museum, continued at The Art Students League, Parsons School of Design and The New School of Social Research in Manhattan and eventually moved to Southern California. She showcased her work at ArtExpo in the years 1987-1992 in California and New York, where she was signed by major art publishers, including Bruce McGaw Graphics.
