Under each etched image, handwritten in pencil at far right, is the artist signature, "Landori". Under each of the six images, handritten in pencil at far left, is the edition number "39/75" with the Title at center, in French. Printed on cream Arches paper.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Mid-20th Century well-known artist Eva Landori, (Hungarian-Canadian) 1912-1987:
Born in Budapest, Hungary 1912-03-03. While in Hungary, she studied at the Jaschik Academy and worked as a theater decorator, illustrator and designer, contributing to various Hungarian newspapers. After the second World War, she and her husband (Rudolf Landori Hoffmann) fled Hungary and settled in Paris, where she studied at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere.
In 1951 the Landoris emigrated to Canada and settled in Montreal, where they would live out the rest of their lives.
In Canada, Eva Landori became best known as a printmaker, returning to Paris in 1959, 1961, and 1964 to study at the Atelier de Gravure de Friedlander.
From 1955 to 1961 Eva Landori was represented by the Agnes Lefort Gallery in Montreal, and throughout the sixties her work was included in numerous international exhibitions.
She exhibited at the Montreal Museum of Fine Art Spring shows, and her work was included in a show with the well-known artist Betty Goodwin in 1965.
Landori’s work is held in many public collections, including the Musée des beaux-arts, Montréal, Musée du Québec, Simon Fraser University, Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris, Library of Congress, Washington, and Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest.
She is also represented in major private collections, including the C.I.L. and Lavelin Collections.
In 1980 she received a gold medal from the Accademia Italia delle Arti del Lavoro. She passed away in 1987.
