Born in Canton, China in 1944 and moved with his family to Hong Kong in 1946. Attended university in Taiwan before moving to Hawaii as an adult. Began painting at age 4, won Chinese National Painting Competition and left his studies in field of medicine to become world-acclaimed artist with works in over 300 galleries, universities and museums and numerous private collections, including the collection of the Imperial Family of Japan.
